Mission Statement

The mission of the Long Island Group Search and Rescue Academy is to foster a common training environment and standardized level of training for CAP units, home and abroad. Through physical, mental, and social stressors it is the mission of this Academy to enable us to protect those in peril from harm, while challenging and educating us to hone our skills so as to excel in every facet of the emergency services mission of Civil Air Patrol. Alongside our brothers in blue; these things we do, that others may live.
